This building detail belongs to a small wooden construction designed and built by the artist Örn Ingi in Akureyri, in the North of Iceland. Keeping with the common custom of moving houses to a new site, it was transported on a truck and carefully placed at the bottom of Hákot’s garden. Indeed, it is an authentic present to Grjótaþorp, that enriches its collection of traditional houses.
Now the little construction has the role of being a garden shed, placed by the Tree and its birds, named Lágkot.
